Why know one knows how much money musicians are making

I’m always suspect of answers given by reps of companies like Spotify. Streaming services are the new music industry, complete with shitty payouts to artists. Rdio’s new affiliate program looks like an interesting solution for artists though… Grooveshark may still be the devil.

Mankind is a band. Recently we ditched a years worth of material and decided to start over. We will chart this exploration in actively trying to not "make it" right here. We are still instrumental, but we've recently taken to sampling things and using our laptops-as-sidearm. We reserve the right to yell at you through a microphone, at any given moment.
